Saturday, June 21. From Aalsmeer to Amsterdam.
After a year without a camper it is this time again. Ernst van Camperhuren.nl has another beautiful cart ready for us. After a cup of coffee and the usual explanation (we already know everything) Sander drives the camper to the Nico Jessekade.
Everything is ready at home so packing is a piece of cake.
It is dry but fresh. Hopefully we will meet the warmth. One more night in our own bed and then we can set off early tomorrow morning.
Sunday June 22, 2014 from Amsterdam to Brain-sur-l'Authion
Mileage start 89.168; Mileage at the end of 89.993. Km driven: 825
Netherlands 13 degrees. Brain-sur-l'Authion: sunny and 28 degrees.
Get out of bed at 05.00 AM. Quick ff shower. Transfer the fridge and the bikes on the back. round
05.45 am we leave the Nico Jessekade.
Via Breda, Antwerp, Ghent and Lille we drive to Paris. It is nice and quiet and good
again. We are making a big leap today. Driving the camper is as usual.
We defy the Peripherique of Paris. It is very busy there and we also get stuck in traffic.
Very tough of us that we get through it without problems and without nerves.
After Paris we head further towards Nantes and eventually bow to Angers. On the way
we end up in a swarm of bees. 10 dozens of them are flying against our windows and against it
the cove. The windscreen wipers and window cleaner no longer help. We really have to stop for a while
to clean the windows.
We have set our sights on camping “du pont Caroline” from the ANWB guide.
