With the camper through Portugal
Portugal has a very beautiful landscape that you can enjoy driving through. There is also a lot to see on the road to Portugal itself, so you drive first The Netherlands through, then straight through Belgium, via France to Spain and then you're there! We'll take you from north to south!
The north is full of wine, mountains and ravines. The city of Porto is on the World Heritage List and that is clearly visible. You can find the most beautiful cathedrals and monuments there. In the area you can also spend your time in the Douro valley. The Douro is a river that cuts through the rugged landscape. You can take a boat trip through the valley and at the same time learn all about the Port wine for which the city is known.
There are many fishing villages inland. Here you can fully enjoy the fish specialties they know in Portugal. In addition, central Portugal is the place for various sports and activities. In the mountains of Serra da Estrela you can enjoy hiking or cycling, but also abseiling, mountain climbing, rafting and canoeing. You can always choose to withdraw to the coast, in this region there are very good waves. Especially on the beaches of Peniche and Nazaré there are high waves.
The region is of course mainly about the capital: Lisbon. The capital has many different historic districts, including a medieval district. You can really look your eyes out.
