What is the ideal family camper?
It should be clear that an Alcove camper is often mentioned first when it comes to a family camper. You can easily recognize this type of camper by a huge bulge on the roof above the driver's cabin. Some people don't always find this attractive. However, it always provides a nice double bed, so that the sitting area can be converted into a bed for two children. You also benefit from enough space with Alcove models, which makes it all the more an ideal family camper! And because faithful four-legged friends sometimes belong to the family, a rent a camper with a dog an opportunity to think about.
In addition to the many advantages, it is a fact that an Alcove motorhome is less streamlined than other models. This makes the family camper slightly more sensitive to the wind. Which in turn leads to higher fuel costs. Furthermore, the view from the cabin is slightly less because of the overhanging Alcove. That is why it is extra careful with protruding roof plates or beautiful signboards. This is therefore something to take into account in advance before you set off.

Different types of family campers
When choosing a family motorhome, the type is extremely important. The choice for this starts with the number of people who are going on a trip. At a rent a motorhome 6 people you will (most likely) end up with a different type than with 2 people. You do not want your children to sit all the way in the back of the camper so that you cannot have contact with them. You want to be able to contact them easily and safely during a long journey. It is also good to think about the provision of a child seat. Depending on how old your children are, this is mandatory in many countries. From our experience, we know better than anyone that choosing a family camper is difficult. That is why we also recommend that you first RV rental weekend before you end up buying one. During a motorhome holiday you will only really find out which requirements a motorhome must meet. If you find out that you are missing various elements, you can take this into account when buying a camper. It can be nice to have certain facilities, especially with (smaller) children.
