When renting, buying or mediating a motorhome, we ask for your personal information. Camperhuren.nl handles your data with care and adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation. The following policy applies to the protection of your privacy.
Camperhuren.nl (subsidiary of Camperverhuur Amsterdam BV), with its registered office at Turfstekerstraat 26, 1431 GE in Aalsmeer and registered in the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce under number 34300439, is responsible for the processing of personal data as shown in this privacy policy. Compulsory identification with camper rental
When renting a motorhome we need a copy of your driver's license and passport for insurance. We recommend the following to prevent identity fraud:
- to indicate on the copy that it is a copy and for which this copy is required;
- cross out the citizen service number (BSN);
- using the Central Government's KopieID app on your smartphone in order to comply with the aforementioned points. NB: Please do not strike out the driver's license and passport number and photo; this is necessary to check the validity of your driving license or passport.
For what purpose do we process your data?
- To be able to call or e-mail you if this is necessary to be able to perform our services;
- To inform you about changes and details of our services and products.
With whom do we share your personal data?
We only provide necessary personal data to external parties that we use to provide our services to our customers. They may only process the personal data on our behalf in accordance with the purposes for which the data were obtained. These external parties are:
- Juist (digital marketing agency) in Boekel for the hosting and maintenance of our website;
- MailChimp, for our email marketing;
- Google Analytics; for statistical analyzes of our website;
- Microsoft Clarity; to optimize our website;
- Herenvest in Haarlem, for the insurance of campers, for which we also do the mediation.
In addition, the website uses cookies with which we can measure user statistics via Hotjar to improve our website.
Camperhuren.nl never provides the aforementioned information to third parties for commercial purposes.
How long do we keep your personal data?
Camperhuren.nl does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We will destroy your data after the retention period. You always have the right to ask us to delete your data. Do you want us to remove your data from our database? Send an e-mail to info@camperhuren.nl. Camperhuren.nl assesses your request within 7 working days. If there is no agreement, we will respond to your request within 7 working days.
Right to inspection and control
The General Data Protection Regulation grants you certain rights with regard to the personal data processed by us. You have the right to inspect and delete personal data, the right to limit processing, the right to object to the processing and the right to data transferability.
