1. Kristiansand

The Norway motorhome tour starts in beautiful Kristiansand. This can be reached by taking the ferry from Hirsthals. After taking the ferry you will arrive in a pleasant and cozy coastal town that is enriched with many beautiful beaches. It is possible to take a dip in one of the pools of the Aquarama water park. It is also recommended to visit the Kristiansand Dyre Park. This is the largest zoo in Norway. Furthermore, it is during the camper trip Europe recommended to visit different museums and admire the most picturesque streets with street art influences.

2. Stavanger

This place is during a Norway tour camper to visit via the coast. Pass by the typical Norwegian fishing villages. For example, go along Flekkefjord and walk through the beautiful valley of the Setesdal. Are we dealing with real active people? Then it is recommended to go there. You can enjoy rafting and other sporting activities on the rivers in the area. You can also go out in nature to spot stray moose. Via Lysebotn there is a walk to Kjeragbolten. This is a stone that is wedged between two rocks, which makes for a true picture! Along the way it is also a pleasure to glaze over with a beautiful view of Lysefjord. Once in Stavanger itself, you are surrounded by a piece of history, which is ideally suited to stroll through the ancient streets and enjoy all the sights. The old Domkirke and the Stavenger museum are an absolute must, as is a visit to the Preikestolen (one of the most famous lookout points in Norway).

3. Suldaloses

Via the north you can then continue the Norway camper round trip towards the interior. Via the fishing town of Haugesund you continue towards the Hardangervidda National Park. On the way it is highly recommended to turn to Suldalsosen. What this place is known for? That is the famous salmon river Suldalslagen where the wild salmon swim against the river. Before you reach Odda, a stopover at Låtefossen is recommended. Here is a beautiful waterfall with a stone bridge in front of it.

4. Odda

This place is an excellent base for further visits to the Folgefonna glaciers and Trolltunga. The old industrial town is located between the Folgefonna National Park and the Hardangervidda National Park. This place is ideally suited to spend a few days during a motorhome trip. Of compact campers occasions it is very easy to get to know different nature reserves.

5. Flame

De camper trip Norway can then be continued towards Skjolden. The first stop worth seeing along the way is at Flåm. This is located on the Aurlandsfjord, where you can board the Flåmsbane. This is a train between Flåm and Myrdal. Along the way you can fully enjoy the beautiful views that the camper trip through Norway has to offer. And this makes it an absolute must for a Norway camper tour. Pass by Brekkefossen, Flam Kirke and the Kjosfossen waterfall. And find out what unique sights Mother Nature has to offer.

6. Skjolden and Lustrafjorden

Waterfalls ticked off? Then it's time to continue the Norway camper tour to Skjolden. This is north of Lustrafjorden. As a result, you will pass the Urne Stave Church along the way, which is definitely worth a visit. The Feigefossen should not be missed during the motorhome trip through beautiful Norway. Skjolden is located between Jostedalsbreen National Park and Jotunheimen National Park. An ideal area for walking around. Visit the Jostedalsbreen. This is the largest glacier on the European mainland. If you have the time, it is recommended to take a trip to Lom to see the special stave church in person.

7. Oslo and surroundings

The moment you leave for Oslo with the camper, most of the Norway camper tour is (unfortunately) already over. Still, it is definitely worth it to fully enjoy the last part of the motorhome trip. For example, the area around Oslo is quite industrial and many dams and power plants can be found here between the vast landscape. In the middle of the city of Oslo, it is wonderful to just stroll through the modern center. Visit the interesting sights such as the Royal Palace from the 19th century. The Akershus ditch is also one of the few buildings from the Middle Ages in the city that serves as a museum. Speaking of museums: the Munchmesuem or the Vigeland Museum are definitely worth a visit before returning home. And maybe you will continue the adventure in your own country with a motorhome route Netherlands...
