At Camperhuren.nl we believe it is important that our website is accessible to as many people as possible. We want to ensure that everyone, including people with disabilities, has easy access to our information and services.
Accessibility goals
We strive to make our website accessible according to the minimal variant of the accessibility guidelines, as described in the European Accessibility Act (EAA). This means that we work on a website that:
- Observable is: the content is visible and audible to all users.
- Operable is: everyone can easily navigate through our site, even without a mouse.
- Understandable is: our texts are clear and concise, without jargon.
- Robust is: the site works well with different browsers and tools such as screen readers.
What have we already improved?
- Alt texts for images: We have provided images with descriptive alt texts so that they can be read out by screen readers.
- Keyboard navigation: Our website can be operated without a mouse, with clear focus indications.
- Readable text: We use a minimum font size of 16px for good readability, also on mobile devices.
- Clear labels for forms: Form fields have associated labels to improve usability.
What else do we want to improve?
- Improving color contrast: We will optimize the contrasts of text and buttons for better readability.
- Simpler language use: We rewrite complex texts to an understandable B1 level.
- Responsivedesign: We're working on a layout that scales well on all screen sizes, without horizontal scrolling.
Testing and further development
We continue to regularly test our website for accessibility using tools such as the WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool and feedback from our users.
