  1. Which type of camper is suitable for our holiday?

  2. Can I view the campers before I go on holiday with them?

    This is of course possible and certainly recommended. You can make an appointment or simply walk into our showroom and take a look around, so that you are fully prepared for your holiday. Look at Contact information our address and opening hours.

  3. Do we get an explanation about the camper before we leave?

    Yes, you will receive detailed explanation on the day of departure so that you can travel without any worries. Need more information?   4. How much weight can I take with me in the camper?

    Our campers weigh around 2900 - 3000 kg ready to drive (this includes a 90% filled diesel tank, 90% filled water tank and a 75 kg driver). These campers can be loaded up to 3500 kg; the maximum permitted mass. So you have quite a few kilos left to furnish your camper. Please note that you may not exceed the maximum permitted mass.

Rental and cancellation conditions

  1. What are the collection and return times?

    You will receive your unique pick-up and drop-off times ten days before departure. These are the times when you pick up and return your camper. It is a specific time between 14.00:17.00 PM and 9.00:11.00 PM on departure and a specific time between XNUMX:XNUMX AM and XNUMX:XNUMX AM on arrival.

    It will take you about an hour to issue the camper. The collection of the camper takes half an hour, without any details.

    We advise you to choose a destination on your first day that is a maximum of 1 hour's drive from your place of residence. This way you give yourself some time to get used to driving the camper. By not driving too far on the first day, you can practice all the skills of a camper at your leisure and without haste.

  2. What must the camper driver have and respect?

    From our Terms and Conditions:

    The driver must be at least 25 years old and 5 years old and be in possession of a valid Dutch driver's license, which is required for driving the rented camper. Non-Dutch residents must be in possession of a valid international driving license, which can be applied for in the country of origin.

    To drive the camper with a driving license B, the driver must take into account a weight on the license plate ranging from 3.000 to 3.100 kg, according to EU standard, including driver (75 kg), full fuel, fresh water tanks, gas bottles, spare wheel, cable reel, standard on-board tools and 10 kg for every meter of camper length.

    To drive the camper with a C1 driving license, the driver must take into account a weight on the license plate varying up to 5.400 kg, according to EU standard, including driver (75 kg), full fuel, fresh water tanks, gas bottles, spare wheel, cable reel, standard on-board tools and 10 kg for every meter of camper length.

    The camper may only be driven by the driver(s) specified by the renter. The renter is personally liable for any traffic violations committed.

    The driver must follow all instructions provided by Camperhuren.nl when using the camper. The driver must drive the camper carefully and safely. It is expressly not permitted to drive faster than the maximum permitted speed. We recommend a maximum speed of 100 to 110 km/h.

  3. Which countries may be visited?

    All countries listed on the green card (international insurance certificate) may be visited with the camper, with the exception of risk areas identified in advance by the insurance company and Camperhuren.nl. Are you unsure about your route or your visit to a country? Ask us. The green card is supplied as standard with the camper.

  4. What should you think about when canceling?

    Cancellation must be in writing or via e-mail. You can mail to info@camperhuren.nl. The date of postal delivery or email serves as the cancellation date.

    The costs for a cancellation vary per period:

    a. if canceled 15 weeks or more before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rent;
    b. cancellation 10 weeks or more and less than 15 weeks before the start of the rental period: 60% of the rental sum;
    c. cancellation shorter than 10 weeks before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rent.

    Camperhuren.nl recommends that you take out travel and cancellation insurance.

  5. Can my dog ​​come with me in the camper?

    Dogs are allowed in the type Comfort single beds and type Compact transverse bed, provided that Camperhuren.nl has given prior written permission for this. There is an additional charge for the dog.

    Dogs are not allowed to sit, lie or sleep on chairs, couches, beds or other furniture.

    The regulations for transporting a dog in a camper differ per country. We recommend that you always tie up the dog while driving. You can place the dog on a rug or basket on the floor of the camper and attach it to the belt with a suitable strap. long line on the belt.

  6. Are you allowed to smoke in the Camperhuren.nl motorhomes?

    Smoking is not allowed in the camper.

    If there has been smoking in the camper, the cleaning costs incurred will be deducted from the deposit. These cleaning costs amount to a minimum of €500.

  7. Can I leave my car at Camperhuren.nl?

    You can leave a car belonging to the renter and/or driver at a rate of €3 per day. We recommend that you register in advance so that a place can be reserved for you.

    Leaving a car belonging to the renter and/or driver on the Camperhuren.nl site during the rental period is entirely at your own risk. Camperhuren.nl is not liable for any consequences associated with parking this vehicle (for example damage or theft).

  8. Do I have to clean the camper before returning it?

    You can do the final cleaning of the rented camper yourself or outsource it to us. If you clean the camper yourself, you have completely cleaned the inside and outside before returning the camper.

    At Zarcillo Loogman There are wash boxes on the Aalsmeerderweg, where you can easily clean the outside of the camper. The roof of the camper does not need to be cleaned.

  9. Is the motorhome insured?

    The camper is insured against liability + casco, including passengers. There is an excess of € 1.000 per event, which will be charged to the tenant in the event of damage at home and abroad. A green card is supplied with the camper. Damage caused by hail or other weather conditions, a blowout and the costs for replacing a window as a result of a window break or stone chips are at the expense of the tenant. These forms of unforeseen damage are covered by the deductible.

    Damage caused by driving under the influence or causing unauthorized persons to drive will be charged to the tenant. This damage is not covered by the deductible.

Costs

  1. Do I have to pay a deposit when I rent a camper?

    From our Terms & Conditions:

    The deposit per rental period is € 1.000,00. The deposit must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the start of the rental period. Provided the tenant has fulfilled all his obligations towards Camperhuren.nl, this deposit will be refunded to the tenant's account within 14 days after the tenant has returned the camper, possibly subject to deduction of additional costs owed by the tenant.

    If there is damage, the period mentioned in this article can be extended in connection with the settlement of the damage. If it turns out that the deposit is insufficient to compensate for the damage to which Camperhuren.nl is entitled in accordance with these general terms and conditions, the renter will immediately pay the excess, determined by Camperhuren.nl, above the deposit to Camperhuren.nl. If necessary, a final invoice will be drawn up for specification.

  2. Are the kilometers included in the rental price?

    The kilometers are free!

    We would like to give you the following tip from experience: do not plan too many kilometers per day and take your time. This way you experience more traveling pleasure and prevent damage.

    For a distance of 500 km you can count on at least 7 hours. Your journey will take longer with a camper than with a car. It is a means of transport that you are usually not used to driving. Allowing plenty of time for your trip and wandering the European roads is the ideal way to travel, especially for campers.

    This way you can enjoy the surroundings and make time for other holiday fun outside of driving.

  3. Are there any consumption costs charged?

    Tablets or liquid for the chemical toilet, the gas in the 2 gas bottles and any oil consumption are included in the rental price. You fill in diesel and AdBlue yourself.

  4. What fuel does the camper use?

    All campers run on Diesel and most campers have an AdBlue tank installed to reduce emissions. Environmental zones are in force in an increasing number of cities at home and abroad. We have placed environmental stickers for France and Germany on the windscreen of our campers. For more information about Environmental Zones in Europe, please refer to the ANWB website.

    Every gas station sells AdBlue and at the larger gas stations they have an AdBlue pump where you can refill AdBlue. To be on the safe side, we will provide you with a jerry can of AdBlue in the garage of the camper. You can use this jerry can for a fee.

    You return the camper with a full Diesel and AdBlue tank.

  5. How should payment be made?

    From our Terms & Conditions:

    Payment must be made as follows:

    a. 25% of the total rent immediately after the conclusion of the agreement;

    b. 25% of the total rent 6 months before the start of the rental period;

    c. 50% of the total rent + the deposit 6 weeks before the start of the rental period.

     

    If the agreement is concluded within 6 months before the start of the rental period, payment must be made as follows:

    a. 50% of the total rent immediately after the conclusion of the agreement;

    b. 50% of the total rent + the deposit 6 weeks before the start of the rental period.

     

    If the agreement is concluded within 6 weeks before the start of the rental period, the total rental sum + the deposit must be paid immediately after the conclusion of the agreement.

  1. I'm going by boat. Do I need the motorhome registration number?

    If you are asked for a registration number for the boat, for example to Denmark, leave this blank for the time being. On the day of departure you will definitely know which motorhome with which license plate you will pick up. On the way you can still enter the registration number in your reservation form for the boat.

Breakdown and damage

  1. What do I do in the event of a breakdown on the road?

    Our campers are technically well maintained by recognized dealers. This is how we prevent breakdowns on the road. Technology can always let us down at some point. That is why we have taken out a roadside assistance service for all our campers if the camper no longer drives due to a breakdown or an accident.

    If you come to an unexpected stop, we will help you resolve the situation as quickly as possible. We explain to you what our roadside assistance service entails. This way you know where you stand if your camper breaks down on the road.

  2. What happens in the event of damage?

    When returning the camper must be in the same condition as when it was delivered. Despite the fact that the Camperhuren.nl motorhomes are well maintained, a defect can always occur or damage can occur.

    The tenant may have necessary repairs carried out up to € 75,00. This should be done at an expert repair facility, preferably a dealer of the brand of the motorhome (the chassis of the motorhome is Fiat, the superstructure is Dethleffs / Sunlight). For repairs that exceed this amount, Camperhuren.nl must always be contacted first via telephone number 0297 54 7007 and approval must be requested. If possible, the renter will comply with the instructions of Camperhuren.nl. Original and itemized invoices issued in the name of Camperhuren.nl will be refunded to the tenant at the end of the rental period.

    Damage to the interior, any air conditioning unit on the roof, radio, reversing camera, awning and bicycle rack is at the risk of the renter, subject to normal wear and tear.

    In the event of a collision, the local police must be called in and the European claim form must be completed. The tenant must also inform Camperhuren.nl by telephone as soon as possible (within 24 hours).

    Damage and costs not covered by the insurance, such as driving under the influence, being driven by unauthorized persons, seizure, drug transport, flooding, destruction of the interior, etc., are entirely at the expense of the tenant.
