If you come to an unexpected stop, we will help you resolve the situation as quickly as possible. We explain to you what our roadside assistance service entails. This way you know where you stand if your camper breaks down on the road.

Our campers are technically well maintained by recognized dealers. This is how we prevent breakdowns on the road. Technology can always let us down at some point. That is why we have taken out a roadside assistance service for all our campers if the camper no longer drives due to a breakdown or an accident.

If a red light comes on on the dashboard, stop driving immediately and first contact us via the service number on your checklist.

Breakdown service

Our breakdown assistance service is provided by Stellantis from Stella Assistance. If you have a breakdown along the way, first make sure you get yourself and your fellow passengers to safety. Then call the breakdown assistance number on your camper's checklist. They will ask you where you are and ensure that local breakdown assistance or a towing service arrives as quickly as possible.

Then contact our own service number as soon as possible. This can also be found on your camper's checklist and is available 24 hours a day.

When are you entitled to roadside assistance?

You will receive roadside assistance if the camper no longer drives. This can be done, for example, by:

  • a mechanical, electrical or electronic defect
  • an accident
  • keys embedded in the car
  • the loss of keys
  • filling with wrong fuel
  • a flat tire
  • a battery defect

In which countries are you entitled to roadside assistance?

You will be offered roadside assistance in countries where it is permitted to drive the camper. You will find these countries on the green map in your camper folder.

Will I receive a replacement camper if I need one?

We will always look for the best solution if you come to a standstill and the camper no longer drives. This depends on several factors, for example how quickly the camper can be made, the distance from your location to our location, the remaining rental period, etc.

In the Netherlands you are entitled to 2 days of alternative transport (a car) through the breakdown assistance service. In Europe, outside the Netherlands, your replacement transport (a car) is 4 days, so that the camper can be repaired if necessary and you can then continue driving. A hotel stay for a maximum of 4 days in Europe, outside the Netherlands, is also part of the breakdown assistance.

We will always help you find the best possible solution for your situation. We are dependent on the options provided by the breakdown assistance service.

Are there any additional costs if I have a breakdown along the way?

If you have a breakdown along the way and your camper is repaired or repatriated, you may be forced to adjust your route. Apart from hotel stays or replacement transport, all other expenses are at your own expense.

In the event of a breakdown along the way, the breakdown assistance service will help you get the camper moving again, but for damage caused by your own actions or, for example, damage caused by hail or other weather conditions, a blowout tire and the costs of replacing a window as a result of a Broken windows or stone chips are at your own expense. These forms of unforeseen damage are covered by the deductible.

When am I as a person entitled to roadside assistance?

The breakdown assistance service is intended to help you get back on the road with your rental camper. If something has happened to you and you are no longer able to drive, please contact your own travel or health insurance. You remain responsible for returning the camper on the agreed return date. If a second driver is registered, he or she can continue driving the camper. In such a case, always contact us via the service number and we will help you with advice.

What do I do in the event of an accident with damage?

Can the camper no longer drive any further? Call the roadside assistance service. You can find the number on the checklist. Then contact us via the service number. Then proceed as follows:

  • contact the local police
  • Complete the claim form together with the other party
  • take as many pictures of the situation as possible
  • email the photos of the damage and the form directly to info@camperhuren.nl

Is the camper still running? Then follow the 4 points above and contact us via the service number.
