The route passes through three municipalities, namely: Strömsund, Vilhelmina and Dorotea. The most spectacular part of the Wilderness Route with the camper runs via Stekenjokk and is located at 879 meters above sea level. However, this section of the route is only open from June to mid-October each year, as there is too much snow on the road the rest of the year. But that makes the route extra unique!

During the route you will experience the breathtaking Swedish landscape like never before. The view is beautiful and if you are lucky you may even spot a bear! It is also the route with the highest bear population density in the world. Of course you also have the option to deviate from the route here and there, so that you can enjoy the impressive nature of Sweden even more.
