• In Italy it is allowed to spend the night in specially equipped and designated parking spaces, campsites and regular parking spaces (also along highways). Free parking is also allowed, provided you have permission from the owner. There are a few rules attached to this.

• It is mandatory in Italy to have a warning triangle and a safety vest in your motorhome.

• Italy has several environmental zones, such as: Rome, Milan, Bologna, Genoa and Florence. Purchase an Ecopass for this, so you can visit the cities for a day or an indefinite period.

• do you want you bring a pet during your motorhome holiday in Italy? Then a European pet passport is mandatory for your pet. These are available from the vet. In addition, the pet must be microchipped and vaccinated against rabies at least 21 days before departure.

• The country code for Italy is +39.
